Launch of Atlantis

These photos were taken from 12 miles north of the launch pad along the Indian River Lagoon.

An amazing tower of vapor lasted several minutes after lift off. What a sight!

We spent a winter in Cocoa Beach and I remember getting my daughter up at 4 am to watch a lift-off. It wasn't anywhere near as gorgeous as this one!
